About Crosstown Concerts

Crosstown Concerts is seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance & Production Team. We’re looking for someone with bookkeeping experience, excellent knowledge of Excel and Google sheets, and great interpersonal skills.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial procedures, and credit control in a small but busy department. 

Crosstown Concerts is one of the UK's leading independent live music promoters, currently in its 10th year. We deliver 600+ shows a year across 1,000+ venues, from grassroots clubs to arenas. We’re a small team that works together to take a show through all stages of production: from booking the artist, securing the right venue, overseeing the ticketing, with Finance at the heart of all these processes. We work with artists at every stage of their career and pride ourselves on doing things properly, at pace, with a personable approach.

  • Salary Range:  £35-£37K (pro-rated)

  • Pension: In line with Government requirements of Pensions Act 2008.

  • Inflation Adjustment: Annual increases in line with inflation.

  • Bonus Scheme: Eligible for company bonus scheme after 1 full year of employment.

  • Holidays: 28 days holiday (inc. bank holidays) which will be pro-rated, with an additional two weeks leave over the festive season when the office closes.

  • Probation period: 3 months.

  • Working hours: Usual office hours are 10am - 6pm Monday to Friday.  The way in which you work your contracted 22.5hrs is negotiable and could be split across 3-5 days.

We offer the opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic & creative team, in a supportive and collaborative work environment. Our company is based in Bristol, and whilst there is flexibility for occasional remote working, we would like the successful candidate to be predominantly office-based. 

The Role

We're hiring a Finance Assistant to work with our Finance Manager and assist in maintaining accurate financial records in Quickbooks.

This role is ideal for someone with a bookkeeping qualification (AAT), or who is qualified by experience. It suits someone organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and with good focus. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Invoices: raise, track, and reconcile across many shows

  • Maintain financial procedures

  • Reconcile money from our ticketing agents

  • Credit control

  • Manage our venue settlements process/deal with venue invoices across our shows

  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure bookkeeping is up to date

  • Create reports when needed

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Bookkeeping qualification (AAT) or qualified by experience

  • Experience with Quickbooks (ideally) or other online accounting software.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel 

  • Sound knowledge of Google Sheets

  • Solid interpersonal skills, and ability to work with other teams

  • Proven experience of a previous finance role

  • Understanding of financial principles and practises

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently when required
